Good Grief, as Charlie Brown often said, I cannot believe how fast time flies! It has been a month since my last blog update and so much has been going on. Where to begin?
Happy Birthday!
My birthday, February 27, was nothing big this year, but that's okay. I'm not having anymore "BIG" ones ever! Christen told me that I hit "25" this year (backwards). Kids are always great about making mom feel young. I picked out my own birthday cake this year. Strawberry cake with strawberry filling. Yum was it good!
LADIES RETREAT
FAMILY TRIP
First we went to Kansas City to see Albert and Kalli and of course the "grand-dogs". The weather was beautiful as we spent a little time together. Bandit made some memories for us as Kalli let him go to chase some canadian geese and he followed them right into the lake and keep swimming out to catch them. There was still ice on the edges of the water so you know his skinny little body was cold. He had so much fun we couldn't get him to get out of the water. He even found an old tennis ball and
On our way we stopped in Oklahoma at Turner Falls. If you have never stopped there I recommend it. We might plan a family vacation there sometime in the near future as it is about 1/2 way between the kids up North and Houston.
Next we went to Ames to see Mark, Laura, Andrew and Josiah. This stop was of course to see the "grand-kids". PaPa Honey hadn't meet 6 week old Josiah yet and was quite anxious.
With Laura we decided to leave for Indianopolis on Wednesday to see Great Grandpa & Grandma Armitage. They were selling their Watkins at a Flower and Patio show there. So we drove 500 miles spent about 36 hours with them and headed back. Yes Laura got her hair cut, isn't it cute!
Saturday we headed home stopping at the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthridge, Missouri and spending the night at Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Sunday we drove through West Arkansas, and if you have ever done this you know we got to drive through mountains. It was beautiful.
As we near home, we have company waiting. Gary and Donna have come to Texas to spend the week with their grandsons. Our house will be grand central for all the fun activities this week. We are looking forward to time with them.
Until next time....

Thanks for the update on all the fun stuff. I want to hear more about Ladies retreat next time we talk.
I am so glad you got to see so much family and will even have time with more ASAP!
Hope you guys all have fun.
James had seen your blog and in fact put the picture of the falls as our background on the computer!
It was so good to have you all at my house and to be able to go to Indianapolis together. I really enjoyed our time together. Thanks for taking me along. I love to travel and don't get the opportunity very often and since we are going to Brazil this year we won't be making any other trips.
Thanks again for coming and for taking me along to see grandma and grandpa Armitage.
Love,
Laura
