Christmas

Christmas day was special this year in a whole new way. We usually have all our kids and grand kids all around us. This year we were thankful for Albert and Kalli coming from Kansas City. We had a wonderful time with them. They were not able to be with us last year so it was good to celebrate with them for almost a whole week.

We had Christmas early with the Lee's this year. Laura and Mark are expecting their second son in January and thought it would be better if they didn't take a long car trip so close to delivery. They came during Thanksgiving and we had a wonderful week with them.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Christmas morning we were excited that our niece Leah with her husband Mike and two of their three boys were able to come for early Christmas breakfast. I got my kid fix for the day. We enjoyed having them. David is 6 years old and Aydin is 6 months. Their big brother Quentin was in Ohio visiting their grandma and grandpa.

30th BIRTHDAY

Our big event after Christmas was helping Albert IV celebrate his 30th birthday. We went to Texas Road House and they embarrassed good by making him get on a saddle and shout He-Haw! We spent the day helping him realize that he was not old yet!

New Years Eve we celebrated with some of our church family. About 15 gathered in our home as we played gamed, told stories, shared in a devotional and eat too much food one more time for the holidays!

Now it is time to start taking the season pounds off!

I loved seeing all the pictures. I am also really glad that Albert & Kalli were able to be with you.

30 is so not that old!!! I am really glad you helped Albert realize that. I have been praying for his Ordination and you guys as you all (Grandpa & Uncle G included) as you travel up in a week.

I have been doing Seeking Him this week. I started at the beginning and so far have been so challenged. I have been memorizing Hosea 10:12 and I think God really may be breaking up some of my fallow ground.

I am also really excited to be doing a S.S. curriculum with the kids each morning. It is on the attributes of God and this week we are memorizing Is. 46:9, I am God, there is no other, I am God there is none like me. It is so fun to hear Hannah repeat it with great feeling.

Thanks for doing a blog. I am really happy to be able to read & see what you are up to.

Last night James was able to get the last DVD burnt so we are mailing it today.

By the way, thanks for the GREAT pic of Albert & Kalli. I will be framing it too!

Love you - Christen

It was good to see some more pictures. The one you used of Mark, Andrew, and Dad I didn't have. I love it! Looks like you all had a great time with Albert and Kalli and next year we will hopefully all be together for Christmas since you all have to come to our house. =)

Love you!
