Cruise Vacation

My girls have been nagging me to start a blog so that we can keep up with one another on a regular basis. They both do a great job sending pictures of things happening in their lives...so...girls here we go! With laptop at my finger tips and just returning from a wonderful vacation with lots of pictures I'm as ready as I will every be.

We do wish that you were all with us on this cruise, as you were on our last family cruise, but it was wonderful "just the two of us".

Jamaica was the most beautiful scenic spot of our 7 day cruise. When we woke up to catch the sunrise we were amazed at the sight of mountains, blue water, and sailboats.

We enjoyed the day on a beautiful white sand beach, and some shopping. We bought some typical tourist t-shirts. We were amazed at the "crazy" traffic on the island. It reminded me of Christen's stories from Brazil. We tried to rent a car, but there were none available. After getting out into the area we were very glad we didn't get a car. They drive on the left side of the road and everyone is constantly honking at each other. It always looked like they were going to hit one another, but we never did see an accident. The shop merchants were also very aggressive. That was a little scary.

The next morning when we woke we were coming into Georgetown, Grand Caymen. Another beautiful port, but it was "FLAT". The water was amazing colors of blue. You cannot describe the beauty and pictures cannot even really let you see the beauty.

We walked to a butterful farm on the island and enjoyed other amazing creation of our heavenly Father. Through out the mile and 1/2 walk each way we were able to take lots of pictures of flowers and ocean waters.

The final stop of our vacation cruise was to Cozemel. We'd been there a couple other times and not sure how we wanted to spend our day. We tried to rent a car again, they do drive on the right side here, but again details prvented us from renting. We stopped by and talked to a cab company and they offered to give an island tour, private. We accepted their offer and again saw parts of this island we hadn't seen before.

We made it home Sunday morning and neither of us were anxious to get back to "life". We had accomplished our mission of getting unwound from our busy life. It truly was a great vacation and we were both very thankful for the rest.
